Meet someone
For men and women who hope for a family: meet people who want one too, and see what you could build together.
Someone who wants a family too. See what you could build together.
You don’t need your whole future worked out.
Just a Baby is where men and women who might want a family meet each other. Family comes first here. Some find a partner along the way, when both want that. It’s never a promise, and not everyone’s looking for it. Nobody here owes anyone romance. Some want to co-parent. Some want to help someone else. Some are still working out what they want.
Say what you hope for, honestly. Then meet people who’ve said what they hope for too.
If you’ve been wondering why you’re still single, we can’t answer that. Nobody can promise you a match. What we can offer is a place where family isn’t a scary word. People start here with what matters most to them.
The app is free to download for iPhone and Android. Chat opens when two people both swipe right.
If you are a man
Plenty of men want to be dads and rarely say so out loud. Here you can. Say it in your profile, in plain words. Do you hope for a partner and a family? Want to co-parent? Or would you like to help someone and step back? Be honest about which. The women you meet will take you at your word.
The women here have their own plans and their own reasons. Some hope for a partner. Some want a co-parent and nothing more. Some want a man who helps and then steps back. Read what she’s written, and believe it. If she says co-parent, not relationship, that’s her answer.
Some men land here after searching for the old-fashioned way to make a baby. Just a Baby isn’t a hookup app, and it isn’t shy about family. It’s where people talk openly about having a baby. What two adults then agree is up to them, and only them.
If you are a woman
Maybe you’ve been searching for where to meet single men, or how to find a boyfriend or a husband. And you’re tired of guessing which men want kids. Here you can bring up family from the first message. The men you meet joined an app where people talk about family.
That still doesn’t tell you what he wants with you. Some men here hope for a partner and a family. Some want to be a dad without being a partner. Some want to help and then step back. His profile and his answers will tell you more than any app can. So ask him, early and directly.
Set up a profile that says who you are and what you hope for. A partner, a co-parent, or something you haven’t named yet. Look around. Talk to the men who say something you’d like to hear more about. Take your time, and say no as often as you need to.
If you are not sure yet
You don’t need to know where this will lead. Many people here hope for a family one day, and nobody’s hurried.
Say you’re still working it out. It’s an honest answer, and you won’t be the only one giving it.
Plan, openness and boundaries
When you meet someone here, three things are worth knowing. About them, and about yourself. They’re different things, and one never tells you another.
- Their present plan is what they’re setting out to do now. Co-parenting, say, or having a baby on their own with some help, or finding a partner.
- Their openness is what they might consider, such as a relationship, co-parenting, or staying in touch.
- Their boundaries are what they won’t do, and the consent they need to give and to get.
Someone with a plan isn’t necessarily open to more. A woman whose plan is to co-parent may not want a relationship at all. Someone who’s open to more hasn’t agreed to it. A man who says he’s open to a relationship has said exactly that, and nothing further.
So ask about each one, and say your own. Consent is something both people give, clearly, at every step. A boundary someone states is the answer, not the start of a negotiation. If what you want and what they want don’t fit, that’s not a failure. It’s the app working, and you can both move on with kindness.
What keeps people safe
You can report anyone through the app’s reporting feature. We look into every report, and we remove people who break our rules.
There’s a lot you can do yourself, too. Take your time. Get to know someone in the app before you share more. Meet when you’re both ready, and not before. Either of you can stop talking whenever you like.
If a conversation turns toward having a baby together, slow down. Talk it all through. Bring in a lawyer and a doctor before anything is agreed.
Anyone having a baby with anyone should talk to a lawyer and a doctor. Just a Baby introduces you. The rest is yours.
